Video games are no stranger to controversy. Since their invention, video games have been called out for being corruptive to youth, "toys" or devoid of artistic merit. Every new artistic medium comes with its share of controversy. Books, movies, comics, television and even opera were brought into the world under the contempt of the mediums that came before them.
