Get your groove on

Title: “Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix”
System: Nintendo Gamecube
Grade: A

Mario and Luigi are back with yet another game that is sure to catch the attention of many.

The two brothers take the stage as they dance their way to stardom in the newest “Dance Dance Revolution” game. In “Mario Mix,” players dance to more than 25 songs, ranging from classic Nintendo themes to familiar favorites. With five difficulty levels, dancers of all abilities will be able to get their groove on.

Not in the mood to dance in a competition style mode? Then try out the special “Workout” feature. This new feature tracks the calories burned while playing the game. Workout mode is great for anyone that is looking for a fun and exciting way to work out, but does not want to play a storyline-based game.

However, if a player is looking to a storyline to follow, this game has it.

Someone has stolen the Music Keys of the Mushroom Kingdom and released the music they held.

Without the Music Keys, the unstable power of the music is wreaking havoc on the land.

Mario must recover them before the chaos destroys the entire Mushroom Kingdom.

The path to the keys is simple: Left, Right, Up, Down, Right, Down.

In “Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix,” players clear levels by performing the correct steps and receiving a passing score for each song.

Once they clear all the levels in a particular world, they’ll collect a Music Key. Collect all the Music Keys to win.

With so many different modes of play, this game is sure to catch the attention of anyone who enjoys dancing and may get those who don’t even enjoy dancing.
