Opening of ‘Love at the Rourke’ exhibit in Moorhead goes right to the heart
With Valentine’s Day coming up, the Rourke Art Gallery in Moorhead has opened the perfect exhibit for any lovebirds. The heart show, a tradition at the Rourke Art Gallery, has been a proud and rich tradition for the past 30 years and is still going strong today.
The Rourke proudly presents a variety of artwork created by over 30 different artists from around the area. The exhibit ranges in many different kinds and styles of artwork including sculptures, photography, paintings and more.
All the artwork displayed in this show has a common theme that may not be as evident in some works as in others. The theme of the exhibit is, of course, love. Many of the works have a very prominent heart positioned somewhere within the work. Others have a less noticeable heart. One particular painting is of two pears next to a single rose.
