Spectrum awarded at ‘Best of Midwest’
Fourteen Spectrum staff members recently attended the 2007 Associated Collegiate Press “Best of the Midwest” newspaper convention in Minneapolis.
Professionals in journalism presented various workshops, in addition to keynote speakers who provided insight into the changing world of journalism.
In addition to attending the events, The Spectrum competed for “Best of Show” against college newspapers from North Dakota, South Dakota, Minneapolis, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and Nebraska.
The Spectrum received third place in the four-year weekly broadsheet category.
There were no individual contests this year.
