Business is in full swing and things are off to a great start, Bison Books owner Joe Rosasco says.

Bison Books, which officially opened in December, is a new off-campus textbook store located on 12th Avenue in the Bison Crossing building.

Rosasco wanted to thank students for coming in and checking out the store after what he called “a very successful buyback period and a strong start to the spring semester.”

According to Rosasco, recent sales figures at Bison Books exceeded his expectations, and while it’s too early to say for sure, he anticipates that the store will stick around for a long time.

Sticking to their mission to remain the cheapest textbook seller in Fargo-Moorhead, Bison Books recently lowered their prices by an extra 5 percent. Rosasco is also inviting all of the students who purchased their textbooks in December to bring their receipts into the store to receive the discount.

Since charging to student accounts is the preferred way for students to pay for their textbook purchases at the university bookstore, Bison Books is planning to offer a charge system for next fall. The store’s owners hope that this system will allow students to charge their purchase to a store account, allowing them to pay once they receive their financial aid money.

The store will accept buybacks year-round and has a selection of pop, candy, and NDSU merchandise. Rosasco encouraged students to stop in on their way to and from class.
