On Feb. 24, the NDSU Women’s Athletics Leadership Team will be hosting a Women’s Career Mentoring and Exploration Seminar to give female students inspiration and direction in their career options.
The seminar will feature a number of female professionals sharing the skills, expectations and choices that made them successful in accomplishing their career goals. Students will be put into small groups to hear presentations and will be able to ask the presenters questions about their fields. Each student will be able to listen to up to three different presenters.
“The three most important job searching skills are being focused, knowing your direction and maintaining connections with people who can get you hired. The seminar should help young women develop these skills,” Jill Wilkey, director of the Career Center, the co-sponsor of the event, said.
Students are encouraged to bring a brown-bag lunch to the seminar, which will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Atrium at the Alumni Center. There is no cost to attend the seminar.
