  • NDSU loses to Northern Iowa on the road in double overtime

    The NDSU women’s soccer team had yet another game that went for extra periods, but eventually lost at the University of Northern Iowa on Friday night. After beating the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks 3-0, the Bison let one get away in double overtime 2-1.

  • 5 Bison Soccer Players Earn Summit League Honors

    Five members of the NDSU women’s soccer team that made it to the Summit League semifinals have picked up conference recognition. Sophomore forward Anisha Kinnarath headlined the Bison honors with a first-team All-Summit League selection. Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Sierra Bonham, senior defender Holly Christian and senior midfielder Jordyn Wallenborn were named on the second-team.

    The Bison gave everything they had, it just wasn’t enough. Despite a solid performance, the No. 3-seeded NDSU soccer team could not overcome two Rachel Good goals in a heartbreaking overtime loss to No. 2-seeded Fort Wayne in the Summit League semifinals, losing 2-1.

  • One Shot is All it Takes

    NDSU junior Jenna Miller took her first shot of the year for the women’s soccer one and what a meaningful one it was. NDSU faced Omaha on Sunday and in the 57th minute, Miller shot and scored a goal putting the Bison in the lead with a score of 1-0. Miller’s single shot was all that was needed as the Bison won in Omaha and locked a spot in the four-team Summit League Tournament.

    Bison Soccer Wins on Senior Day

    The Bison women’s soccer team improved their record to 7-9 coming off a win Sunday afternoon in their final home game at Ellig Sports Complex. Celebrating Senior Day, the Bison shot past Kansas City with a 2-1 victory, responding splendidly after a heartbreaking loss to South Dakota last week.

    NDSU Soccer Loses at Home in a Battle

    The NDSU women’s soccer team fought it out, but fell just short against the University of South Dakota Coyotes Friday. USD put together a surge late in the second half that gave the Bison the 3-2 loss at a rained out Ellig Sports Complex. NDSU got off to a good start with a goal only ten and a half minutes into the game.

    NDSU Stays Undefeated at Home Against IUPUI

    The NDSU women’s soccer team has allowed few points on defense all year, and that level of play certainly didn’t change Sunday. The Bison beat out the IUPUI Jaguars at the Ellig Sports Complex 1-0. Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Sierra Bonham had six saves in the game, five of those being in the second half, helping NDSU shutout IUPUI.

  • NDSU Edges Out Western Illinois

    Before the start of the soccer game on Friday, North Dakota State was under .500 and the Western Illinois Leathernecks were undefeated in the Summit League. This changed after the two teams played at the Ellig Sports Complex Friday. The Bison scored with their second shot of the game 23 minutes into the first half.

  • NDSU Soccer Falls to IPFW 1-0

    The Bison women’s soccer team competed well against a talented Fort Wayne squad Sunday, but could not overcome a first-half goal by the Mastodons. IPFW junior Cassie Egle scored the game’s only goal in the 32nd minute, putting back a rebound from the Bison goal to make the final 1-0.

  • Women’s Soccer Falls to Oakland

    The NDSU women’s soccer team attempted to make a comeback against Oakland but was unable to do so in their early two-goal deficit, losing 2-1 on Fiday. The Bison faced the Summit League preseason favorite Oakland in 55-degree and rainy weather. Oakland stands undefeated in the Summit League.

    Bison Women’s Soccer team opened conference play with a thrilling 2-1, double-overtime victory Saturday afternoon. The struggling soccer squad scratched out their first win in the Summit League despite a valiant effort from the visiting South Dakota State Jackrabbits.

    THE BISON BEST ’12-’13

    1 RECORD-SETTING ENROLLMENT Last fall NDSU officials reported yet another record of full-day enrollment of 14,319 students in undergraduate, professional and graduate programs. In the fall of 2011, first full-day enrollment was at 14,240 students. The 2012-2013 school year marks the seventh consecutive year that enrollment has increased at NDSU.

  • Initial Steps Begin for New Campus Aquatic Center

    New Facility to Open by 2018

    Plans are underway for the building of a new campus aquatic center. Its official proposal passed on April 11, 2013 with a 61% student majority and will be the first swimming facility that the school has had in five years. As a part of this year’s Student Body President Luke Brodeur and Vice President Jace Beehler’s original campaign platform, the reins of the project will be handed over to newly-elected President Robbie Lauf and Vice President Erik Diederich.

Armed with plywood, paint and chalk, Matt Fremstad, Katie Becker, Colby Judovsky, Brittany Taplin and Jeff Bauer have made it their mission to bring out the voice of the people. Inspired by the work of famed urban designer and community activist Candy Chang, who presented at this spring’s Beaux Arts Gala, these students in Don Faulkner’s fourth-year urban design architecture studio have installed a community outreach project in downtown Fargo. 1 FMCT’s “Rumors” Nothing this season was better than “Rumors,” that is for sure. Neil Simon’s beloved farce came to life at The Stage in February, and it sure left a mark.
